February, 2011....Our plane to Costa Rica from LA was canceled due to the weather in the Midwest & East; however, we were able to rebook just as Mindy's friend, Brenda arrived (just in time to help with their Super Bowl Party). Whew!

We arrived in Costa Rica on Feb. 6.  However, David slipped and fell in the shower a couple of days after arriving -- just before we ventured a 12 hr. tour to a volcano and waterfall (lots of walking and stairs ...ouch!). After 5 night in the Capital city, San Jose, we left for SAMARA beach area on the Pacific coast.

The next leg of our adventure took us to the Arenal Volcano mountain region....then back to San Jose....with a side tour of Tortuguero National Park on the Caribbean side.  We arrived home the first week of March.  Dave was sure glad to be back home (but I remind him that it is still cold and a little snowy!).  Guess he misses those Hardee boys.

Our condo in Samara on the Pacific side had beautiful jungle views and only a few minutes walk to the beach.  A great place to rest and relax.  The Carrillo Beach was one of our favorite.  While Dave took it easy in the hammock, I got to "boogey" !
