|2006 SPRING, SUMMER & FALL|
March... Our 8th annual Easter dinner was spent in Cleveland with Sister Judy and her daughter, Jennifer and family.
April... Birthday month for Dave and our nephew Peng.
May... Alaska with highlights of Anchorage, Seward glacier cruise, Fairbanks and a visit to the Rescue Mission, the Arctic Circle, tour along the Alaskan pipeline, and of course, the North Pole! No, we did not see "Santa".
Our flight to a remote Eskimo village was cancelled due to a major snowfall and ice conditions.
Back to Seattle to pick up daughter Mindy, and then on to Bellingham, WA to visit our dear friends, Ron and Pat Buchinski at their Rescue Mission. They're doing a great job!
We drove up to the Vancouver, BC area to visit our dear Prairie friends, Ed & Diana Wallan and two of their children, Eddie & Angie and kids.
The AGRM (Rescue Mission) Conference in Seattle. Highlight was to see special friends like Orvin from CA, Willoughbys from MA, VarnHagens from NYC and many others!
June... Jenette's 65th birthday party with many family and friends in New York. Sister Joan from TX came for the big event and enjoyed some delightful NY weather and lots of Utica's ethnic foods! Jo will admit it was her favorite past-time! Jenette with Sister Johanna & Sister Rose Vincent (1923-2011).
A few highlights from our time at the Cottage was entertaining, volunteer work around the conference center, and helping out during Tami's (daughter-in-law) major back surgery in July. This pic is "before" surgery! Oops! We missed our annual Labor Day "Moffitt Beach camping" with the Parker family!
August... Back home to the "High Country" of NC. Sister Judy from Cleveland came to visit with "Morley", the new pup. Surprise visit from an old Prairie friend, Don Cummings from WVA and his new bride, Nancy! Another special visit was from Pam, Fred and Pauline Parker. Pauline celebrated her 91st birthday with us!
An update on our kids..... Mindy and Kyle moved to "sunny CA" and Scott has left the Rescue Mission after nearly 10 years!
Guess where we'll be spending some of the 2006-07 winter???
